There is something therapeutic in having to practice patience in an instant-gratification world. I think of serially-published Dickens stories and how that must have been for the reader. We need to strengthen those societal muscles.
I've never thought of it this way before but, upon reflection, I think you're exactly right. Good point. And I must say: I'm quite excited to serialise some of my own fiction here in the near future!
