In 2009, during a tour of the British Isles, I was in Edinburgh and stopped into a cool looking pub called Deacon Brodie’s Tavern. Turns out Deacon Brodie was the real life inspiration for Jekyll & Hyde. Very cool story. Not as fantastic as the book but definitely great in its own right.
Highly recommend the pub as well. It is outstanding. Full of local colour and not a tourist trap.
